Soul-ESP- psycho kinesis

Karina  replies to Aparthib and Avijit

Hi!
very interesting posts here, both by Avijit and Aparthib. Now, debating the use/misuse of the term "atheist" is something else, and debating the validity/veracity of the soul, ESP, astrology, etc. is something else.
See my friends, free thinking is supposed to be FREE THINKING. You are free to believe what you wish to believe, what you feel comfortable with, what you have, with a rational mind, have come to accept. I will not fault you or challenge you for not believing in a soul, in a God, or ESP,
6th sense, precognition, etc. etc. I will only fault you if you go and commit crimes -- which most of us seem to agree on the nature of crimes, or what constitutes a crime....
Though we could get into the nitty gritty of this as well, for there are many sorts of crimes. Crimes against humanity, crimes against nature. For many, abortion is a crime as well as sin. Hence, those who are contra, or Pro Choice, get stoned, beaten up, or even shot for espousing this freedom of choice. For many, cutting down the Amazon forest is a crime both against humanity and against nature, since ultimately both are one and the same. Yet there are those who will fault you for espousing the preservation of the Amazon forest.
So, actually, even Crime with a capital C for emphasis, is a concept/set of rules/laws/standards open for a lot of disagreement, discontent. Now, I am not insisting that you believe in what I believe. I am not saying forcefully, by forcing you to listen to me, by tying you up, beating you up (metaphorically speaking) to accept my point of view re. soul, spirit, extra sensory perception, sixth sense, etc.
Via intuition and via personal experience, I have come to believe there is Soul. I believe there is some sort of a balance in the universe. I believe there is Light - which stands for me, as love, goodness, spiritual freedom, fulfillment, the personal satisfaction of a life well lived. By the way, all of us humans do have extra sensory perception. Animals do, why not us? Long before the memtaphorical Tower of Babel, before the
division and fragmentation brought upon by localized dialects, long before our speech cords were fully developed, we relied on our telepathy to communicate with each other. Science has proven that animals do, over long distances of territory, communicate with each other. While we are certainly not a more noble species, we have not yet lost all our animal capabilities. And don't ever forget that we take as scientific proof of today, was considered an impossibility yesterday.

But as I've said, these are whole other subjects to debate, perhaps even come under the category of "personal belief," and "freedom of rational thought" is to respect my beliefs while I respect yours.

Blessings to you and yours,
Karina
